Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday published the official calendar of the Union government for 2023, saying it will not merely display the Narendra Modi dispensation’s achievements and its future commitments but also act as “a reminder of our duties”.
The Government of India calendar 2023, with the theme “Naya Varsh, Naye Sankalp,” will be distributed throughout all government offices and panchayati raj institutions in the nation. The minister of information and broadcasting noted that the calendar has “an impressive collection” of 12 images for each of the 12 months that show “a dynamically growing India.”
On dated 09.05.2022 on the occasion of Birth Ceremony of Guru Rabindranath, The departmental artists of S&DD division of CBC performed various works of Guru Rabindranath Tagore through songs and dance forms.
All these programmes were performed in the presence of Pr. DG, ADG (Admn.), JD (Programme) and other employees.
ROs/FOs have celebrated the 39th day of the 75-day countdown to International Day of Yoga, 2022 on 13th May 2022 and organized 57 Integrated Communication & Outreach Programmes (ICOPs), 02 Exhibitions, 06 Webinars, 47 Yoga Sessions and 29 field programmes on the theme.
The ICOPs and Yoga demonstrations with different Asanas were organized by ROs in the school/colleges, Community Centres and other prominent places under their jurisdiction in coordination with Yog Sansthan, Local Yoga Guru/instructor, other prominent personalities and Local Administration etc.
ROs/FOs also organized Poster/Painting/Essay Writing competitions, Rangoli, Quiz, and Seminars to promote yoga in daily life and create awareness among the public about the importance of “Yoga in Daily Life” to maintain physical/ mental health.
The award was given to Shri Satyendra Prakash, by the Commission on the occasion of National Voters Day 2022 in presence of Guest of honour, Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Law and Justice, Chief Election Commissioner, Shri Sushil Chandra and other senior dignitaries in the National Award function Ceremony at Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi.
The award has been given for his contribution in educating and creating awareness for enhancing the people’s participation in casting vote during present challenging time of COVID-19. Post COVID-19 when direct interaction with the masses is a challenge, his contribution in devising new techniques to reach the people is very significant. It is to be noted that such efforts have led to increase in percentage of voter’s participation to 67.47% in 2019 which was 58.19 % in the year 2009.
Under the leadership of Shri Prakash, CBC with its 23 Regional Outreach Bureaus (ROs) and 148 Field Outreach Bureaus (FOBs) are using new techniques viz. messaging through WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter Tweets/Re-tweets, SMS, Telephonic Calls and organizing webinars. These social media platforms have been used as significant tools for reaching the people. Awareness activities by audio announcement using the Branded Mobile Vans are also used as a major tool for reaching the people in present situation.
Various Voter awareness / Education programmes as part of the SVEEP activities have been carried out through Cultural programmes, Digital Exhibitions, Photo exhibitions, Door to Door campaigns, Magic shows, Nukkad Nataks, Demonstrations, Rallies etc. While organizing such campaigns CBC identifies mainly the low voter turnout areas and make the outreach activities more focused in such areas to disseminate the message of ‘No Voter to Be Left Behind’ of uphold Hon’ble Central Election Commission’s and thereby strengthening the democratic process of the nation.
Shri Satyendra Prakash was earlier awarded with the ‘Rajat Kamal’ for the Best Documentary Film Producer at the National Film Awards 2018. 6 films produced by him when he was Director General of Films Division of India were awarded with Rajat Kamal. He was also honoured with the Swachh Bharat Award in the year 2019 and 2020 for his exemplary work in Swachh Bharat Mission.
‘Iconic Week’- was the week-long celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting . The celebrations which began on 23rd August 2021 and concluded on 27th August 2021 saw an enthusiastic participation by all Media Units of the Ministry.
The most notable feature of the week was the inauguration of e-Photo exhibition “Making of the Constitution” and virtual poster exhibition “Chitranjali@75” by Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur along with Union Ministers Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Dr. L. Murugan and Smt Meenakshi Lekhi.
